Né à Gijón (Asturies) en 1920 et décédé à Oviedo en 1990, Orlando Pelayo a quitté l'Espagne en 1939 pour demeurer en Algérie jusqu'en 1947. Dès 1948 il habite à Paris. Expositions individuelles et collectives. De nombreuses expositions personnelles ont été consacrées à l'œuvre de Orlando Pelayo en France et à l'étranger.
